A lip or tongue-tie is more commonly found (and treated) in infants and young children. Why? This type of restriction can become evident when a baby struggles to nurse or take a bottle, or when a child has difficulty eating certain foods or practices mouth breathing. But what about adults? Can older individuals struggle with limited oral movement because of tight, banded tissues behind the upper lip or beneath the tongue?
