Dr. Maggie Davis, DMD
As a mother and pediatric dentist, Dr. Maggie Davis is passionate about helping improve children’s quality of life by treating their lip or tongue ties. She initially felt inspired to pursue a career in dentistry after witnessing her own mother return to school to become a nurse and use her skills to serve others. Then, during dental school, Dr. Maggie participated in various dental mission trips and realized that pediatric dentistry allowed her to combine her passion for helping others with her dedication to healthcare.
Dr. Maggie completed her undergraduate degree, her Doctor of Dental Medicine, and her pediatric residency all at the University of Florida, where she graduated 4th in her class. Today, she is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, a status earned by fewer than 3% of all dentists.
As if that wasn’t enough, Dr. Maggie went on to achieve her Certification in Infant and Pediatric Tongue Ties and Lip Ties given by the American Board of Laser Surgery, and is a graduate of Dr. Richard Baxter’s Tongue Tie Academy and TOTS: Tethered Oral Tissue Program.
Today, Dr. Maggie takes pride in helping improve her patients’ lives by using a state-of-the-art CO2 Laser to address their lip or tongue ties while reducing potential discomfort and recovery periods. She also collaborates with local specialists, such as speech therapists, lactation consultants, and others, who can assist people both before and after their procedures.
Dr. Maggie considers herself a bit of a tomboy, so when she’s not in the office helping people’s mouths enjoy a greater range of motion, she can be found outside making memories with her beloved family. Her husband is a physician himself, and they have three sons who enjoy wrestling and biking. Dr. Maggie also enjoys weight lifting and cycling at the YMCA.
